  1. Training for edge correctness

    Ever since Dtg got me on this 1000 cuts practice, I really have noticed a change in my hasuji (edge alignment) has improved considerably from where I was before I started training w/ this particular exercise. By repeating and repeating your cuts in practice builds muscle memory and allows the swing to eventually get to a second nature situation. Also, the healing after workouts seems to speed up as well.   2. Preparing for a Real Workout

    As fun as swinging a sword against bottles, jugs and when available, mats is, physical training is a very important variable when trying to improve. Getting your muscles to do what your mind intends it to do is not always easy. Preparing w/ proper stretching and breathing, a real gameplan in your training regimen and not giving up the minute fatigue sets in is just as important as the technique is. Just my thoughts.
